Use the attributes mapping extension to group attributes in the Magento® layered navigation block. Use the extension to add color mapping to the layered navigation filters, it can be used with other attributes as well.

How to configure
- Create parent attribute and child attribute ( Catalog > Attributes > Manage Attributes ) , of type dropdown or multiselect. Filterable. Create options in the attribute edit page.
- Go to Catalog > Attributes > Attributes Mapping and create the parent-child associations.
- It is not necessary to add the parent attribute to an attribute set, the child-attribute filter will be replaced automatically by the parent attribute list of values and then will calculate internally what are the attribute values associated to the selected parent attribute filter.
